December 15, 2011 72Toyota Trinidad and Tobago Limited Service Department has kept abreast with technological international standards and competencies enjoyed throughout the globe from Japan to the Americas. In celebration of this feat, it hosted its annual Skills Competition for its technical employees on October 15. The competition is an internal event and is in its second year and is the local leg of what is known as the “World Skills Cup” which will be held in Japan next year.

The recommendation was made yesterday by Rose Environmental Ltd team leader Shanta Ramkissoon-Cruickshank during a safety display at the Carib Brewery Compound in Champs Fleurs. The product display was part of Carib Brewery and Carib Glassworks’ commemoration of International Safety Awareness Day which had as its theme this year, “Occupational Health and Safety Systems: a tool for continuous improvement.”

The celebrations have been a yearly event since 2001 and Southern Supplies Limited has been one of the main sponsors of the event for the last 13 years.

The National Centre for Persons with Disabilities (NCPD) is a non-governmental agency (NGO) which promotes equalization for persons with disabilities through training, information, research and consultative services.
