The Southern Supplies Ltd. Group of Companies will be hosting a Charity Cruise, in support of Fund Raising Efforts by our Colleague, Dwight Dorner and his Family.
Dwight’s Son, Durai, is 10 months old and suffers from Hypoglycemia or Low Blood Sugar/Glucose Levels. Durai is a patient of the Pediatric Endocrine Clinic at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex and has had admissions with recurrent severe and symptomatic low blood sugar levels, despite attempted use of glucose to avoid such ill occurrences.
The underlying cause of Durai’s condition remains undetected because of a lack of diagnostic abilities locally. The downstream effect of this disorder is in fact health and life threatening. Given the critical nature of Durai’s condition, it was advised that he seek diagnosis and possible treatment abroad.
Durai was accepted at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia at a cost of USD $266,496.00
All proceeds from our Charity event, will go towards assisting Baby Durai and his medical expenses.
