A Tradition of Celebration and Community Spirit
In collaboration with the Midtown Association, SSL spearheads this initiative to keep the spirit of Carnival alive in San Fernando. Our goal is to draw people from across the island to experience genuine southern hospitality and revel in the festivities in a safe and welcoming environment. This event significantly benefits local small businesses and vendors, offering them a platform to thrive. They are encouraged to set up their shops at minimal or no cost around SSL’s premises. Additionally, SSL offers a bar service, free for our employees, fostering a sense of team spirit and camaraderie.
Essentials of Jouvert: Mud and Paint Galore!
What's Jouvert without mud and paint? At SSL, we have been providing these essential Carnival elements to the public for free, enhancing the Jouvert experience for everyone. We are committed to making every moment at SSL extraordinary and memorable.
Celebrating Culture and Entertainment
Over the years, SSL has hosted Stick Fighting Competitions and sponsored various entertainment forms for everyone’s enjoyment during Carnival. We've also collaborated with partners like Jokhan General Contractors to set up spectator stands and judging points, enriching the carnival experience.
A Hub of Revelry, Even Without Official Recognition
This year, despite not being an official judging point, SSL remained the epicenter for revelers, proving once again that we are "THE SPOT" for Carnival fun. We continue to encourage the San Fernando City Corporation's involvement in supporting this event, which consistently exceeds expectations and delights attendees year after year.
