"The DuraTech 40-Foot Galvanized Cable Self Retracting Lifeline Block is a fully-featured block with 3/16-Inch galvanized steel cable that has a tensile strength of 4,000 pounds and CNC machined aluminum housing and drum.
The aluminum housing and drum are durable, lightweight and resistant to corrosion. The internal brake is constructed with a hard-wearing bronze ratchet center and pawls with an alloy steel pressure plate. It also features the DuoTech load-indicating snap hook for attachment to the back D-ring of your full body harness. A high-strength aluminum-alloy main shaft allows for a lighter weight of only 26 pounds, and the housing features a built-in carry handle. The spring and ball buffer assembly prevents lock-up from free-wheeling, and this SRL reduces arrest forces to less than 900 pounds. FallTech Cable SRL's have been engineered for long-life, durability and high performance. All of our cable SRL's feature cast and CNC machined housings and drums and are available with either galvanized or stainless steel cable. All of our SRL's automatically extend and retract as you maneuver in your work position.
