Bubbles for Life Walk 2018
Count us in again for next year’s event!
On the 30th June, 2018, Republic Bank held their 1st installation of the transformed Bubbles for Life Walk, in partnership with the Trinidad and Tobago Cancer Society. Thousands converged at the Brian Lara Stadium, Tarouba to show their support in the Fight Against Cancer.
This year, the SSL Team wore Purple T-Shirts to run against Pancreatic Cancer. The survival rate for pancreatic is very low making it one of the most dreaded cancers out there since symptoms don't show up until the disease is advanced. Events like these bring awareness to the various types of cancer and hopefully brings us one step closer to finding a cure for this disease, that certainly does not discriminate.
Kudos to the TTCS, Republic Bank and all sponsors and supporters of this event. The theme for this event was Run, Walk and Dance Against All Cancers. Let us all come together and in one voice shout out loud that "we can beat this cancer!”
