DIS-DW10K Water Soluble Tape 2″ x 300′ is a biodegradable, water-soluble purge tape primarily used to aid in gas purging and sealing inside pipes during welding and hydro-testing processes. It’s typically made from wood pulp and sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, which lets it act as a temporary seal or barrier for purge gas. When water or steam is introduced, the tape dissolves completely, leaving no residue inside the pipe, which makes it ideal for industries like nuclear, petrochemical, and food & beverage where contamination must be avoided.
