PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
E309L‑16 (Washington Alloy) is a low‑carbon, austenitic stainless steel stick welding electrode engineered for joining stainless steels and joining stainless to carbon or low‑alloy steels. Certified to AWS A5.4 / ASME SFA‑5.4 standards, the rod produces an austenitic‑ferritic weld deposit with a maximum carbon content of about 0.04 %, which enhances resistance to intergranular corrosion and overall toughness. It’s widely used in fabrication and repair work where corrosion resistance, ductility, and weld integrity are important — especially with dissimilar steels or in applications exposed to cyclic or corrosive environments.
