DESCRIPTION / APPLICATION
Oxford Alloy E347-16 is an electrode designed to run on
direct current; reversed polarity as well as alternating
current. The addition of columbium to Oxford Alloy E347-
16 makes it resistant to intergranular corrosion by reducing
the possibility of intergranular carbide precipitation.
This electrode is recommended for welding grades of
similar composition such as 304; 302; 321 and 347. Due
to the strengthening effect of columbium; this grade is
recommended if the weld metal is to be subjected to high
temperatures above 700øF.
