PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
An additional contact of the magnetic starter is an output to which alarm devices with a small load can be connected: a light bulb, a bell, a remote control, a siren, etc. There can be several such outputs - for example, when the crane is started, both the light alarm and the sound alarm are turned on to attract attention workers.
The auxiliary contact (often referred to as "auxiliary contact") does not turn on the load, but only notifies the position of the main contacts and sends a signal to the control systems.
Like the main ones, additional contacts for contactors are:
Opening - NC (normally closed) the starter is on - the equipment is turned off;
Closing - NO (normally open) the starter is turned off - the device is turned on.
The number next to the letter marking indicates the number of poles, for example 3NO + 1NC (3 normally open and 1 normally closed).
