Smith Standard Globe Valves feature an outside stem and yoke (OS&Y), and are available in Class 150-1500 in conventional port with threaded, socketweld, buttweld or RF ends. All are manufactured in accordance with API 602 and ASME B16.34 standards.
The Smith forged steel globe valve is designed for dependable flow control and isolation in high-pressure industrial applications. Constructed from A105 NLC forged carbon steel, this valve delivers reliable performance in demanding environments such as oil & gas, refining, and power generation.
This valve features a Class 800 pressure rating, a bolted bonnet design, allowing for easier maintenance and serviceability in the field, while maintaining excellent pressure containment. Socket-welded ends provide a strong, leak-tight connection ideal for high-integrity piping systems operating under pressure or thermal stress. The socket-welded (SW) ends provide a secure, permanent connection—ideal for high-integrity piping systems where vibration or thermal cycling may be a factor.
The Outside Screw & Yoke (OS&Y) design provides external stem threading for visual stem position and easier maintenance access. Fitted with Trim 8, this configuration typically includes a 410 stainless steel stem and seating surfaces, offering improved wear resistance and service life in moderate-temperature and clean service applications.
