1" FORGED STEEL GATE VALVE EXTENDED BODY 800# WB SC/BW

Extended Body Welded Bonnet Gate Valves are engineered for critical isolation service where reliability, safety, and leak prevention are essential. These valves are designed with a fully welded bonnet, eliminating the need for body-bonnet bolted connections and reducing the risk of fugitive emissions under high-pressure and high-temperature conditions. The extended body configuration allows for easy installation in buried or insulated piping systems, providing greater accessibility for operation and maintenance. These gate valves feature a forged steel body, rising stem with Outside Screw & Yoke (OS&Y) design, and a solid or split wedge depending on size and pressure class. They are bi-directional and ideally suited for on-off flow control in systems where minimal pressure drop and tight shutoff are required. The fully forged construction offers enhanced mechanical strength and resistance to thermal cycling and pressure transients. OMB’s extended body gate valves are produced in accordance with API 602 or API 600 standards and are available in both full bore and reduced bore configurations. Material selection includes a wide range of carbon, alloy, and stainless steels sourced from premium steel mills and forged by certified forging shops with extensive expertise. All materials are traceable and certified for both chemical composition and mechanical properties. Available end connections include butt weld, socket weld, and special configurations upon request. Sizes typically range from ½” to 2” (15mm to 50mm) with pressure classes from 150# to 2500#. These valves are also compliant with Shell MESC specifications and NACE MR0175 for sour service applications.

BODY AND BONNET MATERIALS- OMB valves are manufactured in a wide range of materials, supplied by the best available steel mills, forged by well known forgery with outstanding equipment and experience. All the material can be certified in the chemical composition and the mechanical characteristic.
BOLTS MATERIALS- The following tables suggest standard combination of body and bonnet materials and trim (stem, disc or wedge, seat) composition. Different combinations are available uppon request.
PACKING AND GASKET- Asbestos-free packing is composed by a series of rings of pure graphite. The sets is closed with two rings, top and bottom, anti-extrusion, manufactured in braided graphite. Both internal and external rings are treaded with corrosion inhibitor.
Asbestos-free gaskets used on bolted bonnet valves are of the spiral-wound type in Stainless Steel 316 and pure graphite. On class 1500 valves, ring-joint gaskets in accordance with ANSI B16.20 - API 6A can be used.
