The Irwin 1882791 is a replacement wood countersink drill bit designed for flush screw seating in woodworking. It is a tapered drill with widened flutes to drive fast and clear out chips cleanly. It comes with a ¼-inch quick-change shank, which helps reduce slippage in typical chucks and is compatible with all ¼-inch quick-change systems (including impact drills). The bit includes an adjustable four-cutter counterbore, which can be set for depth and helps smooth out the countersink recess. The counterbore attaches to flats on the shank via two hex screws for a secure fit.
