PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

The Irwin 62124 is an extra-length / aircraft extension / fractional twist drill bit, with a 3/8-inch diameter and 12-inch overall length (OAL). It is constructed from M-2 high speed steel (HSS) with a black oxide finish. This bit is intended for reaching deep or hard-to-access holes (e.g. wiring, boxes, assemblies) especially in wood, metal, and plastic.

INSIGHTS:

Use lower speeds and moderate feed pressure to reduce heat and avoid overloading.

Always use cutting fluid / lubricant when drilling metals to reduce friction, heat, and wear.
