PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

The Irwin Speedbor MAX SPEED wood drilling bit is the fastest SPEEDBOR ever. The speed tip features a full screw point that allows bit to self-feed, as well as three cutting spurs for faster, cleaner holes, less breakout and extended drilling life. The tapered tri-flute design allows for faster chip ejection and less binding. Its grooved hex shank prevents slipping and fits all standard 1/4 in quick-change chucks, including impact drills.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES:

Use steady, moderate speed - too fast can overheat or blunt cutting edges.

Provide clearance behind the bit especially when drilling deep holes.

Support the exit side of the hole if possible to minimize tear-out.

Keep the shank tightly gripped in the chuck or quick-change adapter - any wobble or looseness will degrade hole quality.

After use, clean out chips and dry/ lightly oil to prevent rusting, as bright steel is susceptible.

When edges dull, re-sharpen carefully, maintaining the screw tip geometry and flute profiles.
