Southern Supplies Limited Sponsors Women’s Health Conference & Exhibition


In celebration of International Women’s Day 2026, Southern Supplies Limited and its Group of Companies were proud to support the Women’s Health Conference & Exhibition hosted by the Healthy Mind Foundation on Sunday 8th March 2026 at the Achievors Banquet Hall.
The event brought together women from across Trinidad and Tobago for a day dedicated to education, empowerment, and open conversations surrounding women’s health.

Investing in Women’s Health

Held under the theme “Invest in Her Health: Her Health, Our Future,” the conference created a safe and informative space for women to learn more about their bodies, their health journeys, and the importance of breaking the silence around key health topics.
Attendees had the opportunity to participate in expert-led discussions, engage with exhibitors, and gain valuable insights on issues affecting women at different stages of life—from menstrual health to menopause.

Expert Panel Discussion

One of the highlights of the event was the engaging panel discussion titled:
“From Period to Menopause: Why Ignoring Women’s Cycles Costs Us All.”
The discussion featured respected professionals from various fields who shared their expertise and perspectives:

  • Dr. Sherene Kalloo – Obstetrician and Gynecologist
  • Dr. Nadira Rambocas – Founder of Crown Her TT
  • Ms. Anjanie Ramnarinesingh – Senior HSSE Manager
  • Dr. Christine Descartes – Lecturer in Psychology

The panel discussion was expertly moderated by Dr. Safeeya Mohammed, CEO of SISU Global Wellness.
Together, the panelists explored topics including menstrual health awareness, hormonal changes, mental health, workplace considerations, and the societal impact of ignoring women’s health cycles.

Supporting the Period Poverty Drive

In addition to the conference and exhibition, the event also hosted a Period Poverty Drive, encouraging attendees and partners to donate essential menstrual health products.
Items collected included:

  • Sanitary pads
  • Tampons
  • Panty liners
  • Menstrual cups
  • Feminine wipes

These donations will help support women and girls who face challenges accessing basic menstrual hygiene products, reinforcing the message that every cycle matters and every donation counts.
