The Milwaukee 2872-20 M18 Brushless Threaded Rod Cutter is a cordless power tool designed for cutting common coarse threaded rod sizes. It cuts 1/4 inch, 3/8 inch, and 1/2 inch mild steel threaded rod, as well as 1/4 inch and 3/8 inch stainless steel threaded rod.
The cutter features a brushless motor, four-sided rotatable cutting dies, automatic jaw opening, a reverse button, LED work light, and a centered grip for one-handed overhead operation. Its cutting system produces clean, burr-free cuts that allow a nut to be threaded onto the rod by hand without filing the cut end.
