PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
The Sealed Power SPB-1 Blue Plastigage is a precision clearance-measuring material used during engine assembly to verify the amount of oil clearance between bearings and crankshaft journals. The material is placed between the bearing and journal, the components are torqued to specification, and the resulting flattened strip is compared with the printed scale to determine the clearance. The blue grade measures .004"–.009" (.102–.229 mm) and is suitable for larger bearing clearances.
