CIBC RUN OR WALK FOR THE CURE 2019

Run or Walk for the Cure has become CIBC First Caribbean’s flagship activity and is one of the Caribbean’s largest cancer fundraising and educational initiatives raising more than USD$ 2.2million over the last seven years that it has been held.
The funds generated from their annual run or walk, which is held in partnership with cancer care organizations in each territory, are truly life-changing. The funds are used primarily to assist with the purchase and maintenance of equipment used in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
The funds are also used to provide assistance, care and counselling to patients and their families as well as to raise awareness and stress the importance of early detection, through education campaigns across the region.
All funds raised in Trinidad are donated to the Trinidad and Tobago Cancer Society (TTCS) for Prostate Cancer Screening. Our campaign to-date have assisted approximately a total of five hundred and seventy-three (573) men in Trinidad and Tobago. Over the years we have partnered with Dr. Roy Cape who has become our official spokesperson for the event.
