Have you heard of UCMAS?
UCMAS is a Child Brain Development Program that has been in operation for the past 5 years in Trinidad & Tobago. The program is based on Mental Arithmetic and the Abacus that boost brainpower, along with strengthening math skills. UCMAS promotes whole brain development and establishes foundational building blocks like memory focus concentration, creativity and problem solving – core skills that are needed to improve overall academic achievement and to confidently meet life’s challenges and achieve greatness.

The SSL Group of Companies are very pleased to have been part Sponsors of the 2nd National Mental Arithmetic Competition held on Saturday September 24th 2016 at the Naparima College Auditorium, San Fernando.
The UCMAS competition brought together approximately 500 students between the ages 4 to 14 to compete at 10 levels. The kids were required to complete 200 questions in 8 minutes either mentally or by using the abacus. At the end of the competition, prizes were awarded to the top 100 students with all students receiving a medal, gift bag and certificate for competing.
The top winners at the competition will participate at the International UCMAS Competition among students from the other 56 countries that takes place later this year in Dubai.
