Backer-On screws are designed for attaching hardibacker fiber cement backerboard to wood or light gauge steel studs. Ideal for use in high moisture areas such as baths and showers; sink backsplash; countertops and floors. Backer-On's self-drilling point eliminates the need to pre-drill; and a special patented thread design reduces installation torque and provides superior holding power. A special rib design under the head countersinks for flush seating in board; providing a smooth surface for tile. Backer-On screws feature a corrosion resistant finish which prevents rust from bleeding into tile. Backer-On screws conform to ANSI A108.11 for cement board attachment and install with a standard screwgun and a #2 square drive bit (included with product).
