The LOCTITE SI 596 (Part No. 285956) is a 70 mL red RTV silicone sealant and adhesive designed for high-temperature gasketing and sealing applications. It cures at room temperature to form a durable, flexible silicone rubber that resists oil, water, weathering, and vibration. Commonly used as a formed-in-place gasket, it is ideal for sealing valve covers, oil pans, thermostat housings, transmission covers, water pumps, and other engine and industrial flange assemblies where a reliable, high-temperature seal is required.
