PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
3M™ Polyurethane Adhesive Sealant 550FC is a moisture-curing sealant that forms flexible, weather-resistant bonds. This single-component adhesive bonds dissimilar materials including plastics, sheet molding compound, aluminum, steel, coated metal, stone, and wood in temperatures ranging from -40 °F (-40 °C) to 194 °F (90 °C). Polyurethane sealants perform well in challenging industrial, transportation, and construction settings by creating durable elastomeric bonds that seal against the elements. To keep the job moving, this fast-curing formula forms a paintable skin in only 60-90 minutes. High tensile strength, weather-resistance, and short cure time allow 3M™ Polyurethane Adhesive Sealant 550FC to excel in applications such as exterior panel bonding, window framing, and marine manufacturing.

Works on a Wide Variety of Similar and Dissimilar Substrates
3M™ Polyurethane Adhesive Sealant 550 Fast Cure (PDF, 371.52 Kb) is part of our 500 Series one-component, moisture-curing, urethane adhesives. These adhesives create a permanently elastic bond and bond strongly a variety of substrates such as wood, fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) and many other plastics to themselves, to metal and to glass. Our moisture-curing formula cures by reacting with moisture in the air or the substrate. In addition to spraying, they can also be extruded from hand held or bench mounted applicators and are primarily dispensed with bulk application equipment. Our one-part polyurethane adhesives work well for bonding a wide variety of plastics including polystyrene and polyacrylic. They are also effective on a wide variety of other substrates - from aluminum and glass to plastic and wood.
