The Lincoln Electric LCN‑ED021978 Wearshield MANGJET 3/16 stick welding electrode is a specialized hardfacing SMAW rod engineered for the repair, build‑up and cladding of austenitic manganese steels and manganese/carbon steel interfaces. When deposited, the weld metal work‑hardens significantly under impact, delivering a tough, abrasion‑resistant surface ideal for high‑wear components such as dragline pins, crusher rolls, bucket teeth, chain hooks and hammers. This electrode supports multiple layers and can be applied with AC or DC+ power in all positions except vertical down, making it versatile for field and shop hardfacing tasks.
