ROD WEARSHLD BU90 5/32 LB
PRODUCT FEATURES:
Build‑up weld deposits with moderate hardness.
Deposits are adjustable in hardness with multiple layers.
Can be used as base under tougher hardfacing overlays or as the final overlay for machining/forging.
Good flat/horizontal weldability with balanced deposition characteristics.
Suitable for mild and low‑alloy steels, common in general fabrication and repair.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
The Lincoln Electric LCN‑ED021991 ROD WEARSHLD BU90 5/32 LB is a Wearshield® BU hardfacing electrode engineered to deliver a moderate‑hardness weld deposit for the build‑up and repair of carbon and low‑alloy steels subjected to shock and metal‑to‑metal wear. Its deposit can be left as the final overlay or used as a base layer before applying more abrasive‑resistant hardfacing electrodes. Designed for SMAW (stick welding) in flat and horizontal positions, this rod supports multiple overlay layers when proper welding procedure and temperature control are maintained, making it a good choice for applications like shovel lips, pump housings, pulverizer parts, and gears that require robust wear performance.
