Classified AWS E8018‑C3 H4R, it produces a ~1% nickel deposit that enhances impact toughness and crack resistance in low‑alloy steel welds. The rod offers a stable arc with easy strike/re‑strike and excellent slag removal, and meets industry standards including NACE MR0175 for sour gas service.
