Heavy-cleaning brushes have carbon steel cable twist-knot bristles to remove paint, rust, deep scratches, and other contaminants from flat carbon steel surfaces. Cable twist-knot wire bristles are wound together along the entire length and are rigid for aggressive brushing on flat surfaces. Carbon steel bristles remove material at a high rate on iron, carbon steel, and wood. Wheel brushes clean with the edge perpendicular to the workpiece.
